The Employee Assistance Program also known as EAP is a program recognized jointly by CUPE and Air Canada. It is a free and confidential service that is offered to Members and their dependants. EAP is a support program for members who are experiencing difficult times in their lives and who may need assistance in seeking the appropriate resource to help them resolve their problems.
EAP is a program that is meant to be preventive. We encourage you to get assistance before job performance is affected. The decision to seek help is voluntary. We offer a safe and confidential environment. Employees who feel they have a personal problem are encouraged to seek help. They are free to contact any member of the EAP Committee to obtain information on the program. Help is provided by professionals, outside of the Company and the Union.
Your EAP committee consists of peers who work side by side with you on the aircraft. We are trained volunteers there to support you through your difficult times. More importantly we can offer you resources to help. Are you suffering from work-related stress and burnout, anger management, depression, anxiety, grief separation/divorce, aging parents and addiction issues? We can help you find the help you need. All you need to do is call.
